Instead, Dodge has fitted the new Charger R/T with its 3.0-liter twin-turbo Hurricane inline-six, producing 420 horsepower and 468 lb-ft of torque. With all-wheel drive, an 8-speed automatic transmission, and a claimed 0–60 mph time of 4.7 seconds, it's quick—but can the Sixpack really replace the Hemi that made the Charger famous? In this review, I take the 2026 Dodge Charger R/T for a real-world test drive to find out. We look at the new Charger's styling, size, weight, interior, technology, performance, handling, ride comfort, AWD system, Sport mode, pricing, and practicality—and, most importantly, whether this new gas-powered Charger still feels like a proper muscle car.
